Gallatin R-5 School will host a Veterans Day program on at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 in the high school gym. All veterans and service members from Gallatin and across the area are invited to attend. After the assembly all veterans and service members in attendance are invited to attend a reception to be held in the library hosted by the Gallatin D.A.R.
North Daviess students would like to invite veterans from the community and families to eat lunch with them on Monday, Nov. 11. Elementary eat lunch at 11:45-12:05 and junior high and high school eat lunch from 12:15-12:35. An assembly will follow in the gym starting at 12:45. If you are a veteran and would like to attend please call the school and let them know.
November 12 will be Winston R-6 Veteran’s Day assembly at 12:30 p.m. The school would welcome all veterans and community members to attend.
Pattonsburg School will hold a Veterans Appreciation Breakfast. Breakfast will be served Monday, Nov. 11, from 7-8 a.m. in the school cafeteria. All veterans are invited.
Tri-County R-7 will hold a Veterans Day breakfast and assembly on Monday, Nov. 11. Breakfast will start Monday morning at 7:40 and the program will be at 8:30. The FFA Chapter is sponsoring the program. The R-7 band will play the National Anthem. Richard Willett, math teacher at the school and retired Navy serviceman, will speak at the assembly. A coloring contest will be held for elementary classes, a poster contest for grades 2-4, and a speech writing contest for grades 5-8.
Disabled American Veteran (DAV) Chapter #60 will host a free supper for veterans on Veterans Day, Nov. 11 at Royal Inn Pizza, 1410 E. 9th Street in Trenton, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Veterans will be asked to produce documentation reflecting their service.
