A Cameron woman received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 7 a.m. on Oct. 19 in Caldwell County.
According to the highway patrol, Francesca Flemming, 35, Cameron, was eastbound on Highway 36 near Route J, driving a 2016 Kia Sorrento. A 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 driven by Darren Crabb, 46, Kidder, was pulling out of a private driveway onto eastbound Highway 36 on top of a hill crest.
Ms. Flemming crested the hill and struck the towed unit of Mr. Crabb’s vehicle. Both vehicles came to rest, facing eastbound off the south side of Highway 36.
Ms. Flemming was transported by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt.
The Kia was totaled. The Chevrolet was not damaged.The accident was investigated by Tpr. B.T. Quiring, assisted by Caldwell County.
