The Panthers turned back a challenge from the Warriors to win their first ever Grand River Conference 8-man football title on Friday in yet another high scoring affair. Once again three receivers finished with over 100 yards and muiltiple touchdown catches from quarterback Steven Willhite, who threw for 475 yards and 10 scores. Patrick Cowley rushed for 3 scores and caught 4 TD passes.

The Panthers are the #1 seed in the upcoming District 3 tournament and following a first round bye will play the winner of Friday night’s #4 King City vs. #5 Stanberry contest. That semifinal game will be Friday, Nov. 8 at PHS.
