A Trenton man who was involved in a fatality accident in June has turned himself in on two felony charges.
According to the Grundy County Sheriff’s Office, Russell Louderback, 62, turned himself in to the sheriff’s office on a class E felony of second degree involuntary manslaughter and a class D felony of possession of a controlled substance except 35 grams or less of marijuana/synthetic cannabinoid.
Louderback is accused of causing the death of Jamesport resident Eric Virtue by driving a vehicle that crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Virtue. The accident occurred west of Trenton on the morning of June 13.
In addition, Louderback is accused of possessing hydrocodone and methadone, both controlled substances. Louderback’s bond was initially set at $25,000 cash only, however he was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 8.
