Palmer/Hillman Memorial Pavilion completed at Lake Viking Church

On Sept. 29, the Lake Viking Church held a special service dedicating a new outdoor pavilion built by members. The structure was named the Palmer/ Hillman Memorial Pavilion in honor of the first two pastors at the church. On hand were, left to right, Norma McCaulla, at 93 the last living charter member of Lake Viking Church, Pastor Robert Nelson, and Mary Hillman, widow of Pastor Alvin Hillman. After retiring – twice! – Pastor Hillman also served as pastor of the Gallatin Presbyterian Church until he was 90.
