Clara “Marlene” Hemminger, 68, Cameron, passed away at her home in Cameron on Sept. 20, 2019. She lived in Cameron most of her life and lived in Colorado for a short time.
Marlene was born on Aug. 27, 1951, in Corydon, Iowa, to Lester Dale and Leola (Lord) McLaughlin. She graduated from the Penney High School, Hamilton, in 1969. She worked as a CMT at The Village, Cameron.
On Sept. 23, 1987, she married Neil Hemminger in Kidder at the Christian Church. Neil survives of the home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Amanda Gene Hemminger; three brothers, Ronald Allen McLaughlin of Gallatin, Anthony Dale “Tony” McLaughlin of Kansas City, Daryl “Bunky” Baker of the state of Maine; and one sister, Karol Elizabeth McLaughlin Hazzard.
Additional survivors include her son, Donnie (Charity) Eads, Cameron; four grandchildren; her sister, Doreen Hacker, Winston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has been entrusted to Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Memorials may be made in her memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospitals.
