The Pattonsburg R-2 School Board held a tax rate hearing on Aug. 20 and approved the tax rate as follows: Assessed Valuation: $14,699,316; Approved Levy — Incidental Fund Levy $4.6966; Teachers Fund 0.0000; Debt Service Fund Levy 0.5623; Capital Projects Fund 0.0000; Total Tax Rate $5.2589. The total tax rate for 2018 was $5.1822.

At the regular meeting, the board heard that Pattonsburg R-2 School has started and is going very well with Scott Ireland as superintendent, Alan McCrary as K-12 principal, and Arah Gay as assistant principal/band director. Enrollment is at 202 for this school year. Orientation with new teachers went well.
The board entered into executive session to discuss personnel, student matters and legal issues.
