Funeral services for Michael Rueland Bachman will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019, in the White Oaks Chapel, 6324 Masonic Drive, Alexandria with the Reverend Bill McCullin and Lance Bordelon officiating. Committal service will follow in the Occupy #1 Cemetery under the direction of White Oaks Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Michael, 47, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, in Christus St Frances Cabrini Hospital. He was born August 7, 1972 in Shreveport. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Blanchard, a graduate of Northwood High School in Shreveport and one year of college at Bossier Parish Community College.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Katie Maricle; his brother, Kenneth Claude Bachman and paternal grandfather, Virgil Peters.

Those left behind to cherish his memory: his parents, Steve and Bobbie Peters of Alexandria; two sisters, Catherine Michelle Shockley (Bubba) of LeCompte and Yolanda Jean Ward (Andy) of Shreveport; his paternal grandmother, Betty Peters of Gallatin, Missouri; his nephews, Kenneth Meshell III, Alstin Ward, Troy Michael Shockley and Taylor Ward; one great niece, Ryleigh Kate Ward; one great nephew, Chestin Wiley Ward; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Kenneth Meshell III, Alstin Ward, Andy Ward, Taylor Ward, Troy Shockley, and Craig Ferrier. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Lance Bordelon and Jerome Maricle.

Visitation will be held in the Chapel of White Oaks – Alexandria from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
