As Summer Reading program winds down and kids get back to school, Daviess County Library is gearing up for fall and our adult programs. A few upcoming events you will want to put on your calendar are:
Thursday, Aug. 22, 5:55 pm: Family history night at the Daviess County Library. This is a genealogy seminar with FamilySearch.org. This will be in the Johnson Conference room in the Library. Plan to arrive before 6 p.m. No one will be admitted after 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 11, 1 p.m., we will continue our remote learning series focusing on Alzheimer’s. The program will be “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia”. This program and resources are provided through a cooperative with the Alzheimer’s Association.
Saturday, Oct. 5, stop by the library during the city wide garage sale for our “Bag of books for a buck” book sale, put on by the Friends of the Library. There will be several items on display in a sealed bid auction. Bids will be taken on Saturday only.
The exercise program for adults over 60 is available at the library every Tuesday and Thursday at 2 p.m.
