Katy Black and Mark Gaines were married in a small outdoor ceremony at the Belvoir Winery in Liberty on May 4, 2019. Katy is the daughter of Johnnie and Sally Black of Gallatin. She is a 2008 GHS graduate, has a Master of Science in Education through the University of Kansas School of Education and is currently a teacher at Smithville. Mark is an Air Guard pilot. They are pictured with Mark’s daughter Austin. After honeymooning in Iceland and Paris, France, they are now residing in Weston.
