Winston Junior High girls finished with a 7-2 regular season record and beat Henke Farms of Princeton to take their first Harrison County title. Tied up after seven innings of regulation, the championship game went into extra innings. In the top of the eighth, the Lady Birds scored four runs to take a 10-6 lead and held Princeton to just one additional run. They won 10-7.
