Kristen Nalle asked the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen for permission to close streets for a block party to benefit Johnna Savage on Aug. 3. The board approved the request to close Central and Chestnut Streets for the entire benefit during their June 17 meeting.
New office desks will be purchased from Office Max.
Monthly reports were accepted and bills paid.
Liam Mooney’s 90-day probationary period is up, and the board approved a 50-cent raise per hour.
On July 15, the council will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the water plant, then hold the regular meeting at city hall at 7 p.m.
Those in attendance were Mayor Edmon Howard; board members Lonnie Luke, Kelly Hughes, and Dustin Sperry. Sandra Woodring was absent. Employees present were Water Superintendent Adam Albert and City Clerk Karen Shepherd.
