Funeral services for John Ford Jr. were held May 28, 2019, at Bram Funeral Home, Hamilton. Interment was at Wells of Joy Cemetery, southeast of Hamilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wells of Joy Church, southeast of Hamilton, or Three Rivers Hospice, Cameron.
John Charles “Charlie” Ford, Jr., 82, Hamilton, died at his home on May 24, 2019.
Charlie was born on May 1, 1937, in Kidder, to John Charles and Pearlie M. (Bratcher) Ford. He was a 1956 graduate of the Hamilton High School.
Charlie was self-employed as a backhoe operator and also farmed and raised cattle.
He was a member of the Wells of Joy Church, southeast of Hamilton, and the president of the Northwest Missouri Horse Show Circuit for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell Ford; daughter, Sharla Ford Licklider; and brother, Ronnie Ford.
On Sept. 13, 1974, he married Mary Lee Shore in Waverly. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include daughters, Terry (Dexter) Joiner, Braymer, Sheila Sternisha, Panama City, FL, and Sharyl Ford Pollard, Hamilton; son, Justin Ford, Maysville; brother, Richard (Jeannie) Ford, Lee’s Summit; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and his caregiver, Brad Taylor, Hamilton.
