All NHS members attended the Kids TLC Field Trip to Olathe, KS, to observe and deliver “wish list” items to the students.
National Honor Society wrapped up Autism Awareness Month with a culminating field trip to Kids TLC, a school for students on the autism spectrum. Members purchased over $450 worth of “wish list” items for the students to help with fostering their educational and developmental needs. The chapter was able to deliver them in person on May 8. Members were able to volunteer and observe students in their educational environment during the morning. The NHS officer installation and senior sash ceremony was held May 8 in the high school library. Incoming officers for the 2019-2020 school year will be Madalyn Shubert, president, and Jessica Hart, vice president.
