Tri-County/Gallatin outhit St. Joseph Christian on Saturday but it was the Lions who advanced to the Class 2, District 16 semifinals after a 7-1 victory at Mid-Buchanan High School.

The Mustangs could manage only a single run despite a 7-hit attack while the Lions were able to get the win with 4 hits, 6 walks and the help of 4 Mustang errors. A 5-0 Christian lead held up until Tri-County put its lone run on the board in the fifth inning. Dylan Zug and Camden Lutz each drove in 3 runs for the Lions.
Gage Wright led the Mustangs with 2 hits and a run batted in. Brinley Vandiver, Nate Baker, Ross Critten and Klayton Lynch each hit safely for the Mustangs, whose season ended at 4-10.
