Aubrey Nelson finished her Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and FBLA-Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) in April, and has retired as the PBL Missouri State President.
Aubrey has had a lengthy affiliation with FBLA and PBL, starting back in 2011, when she first joined the Gallatin FBLA Chapter. Aubrey went on to serve FBLA as state reporter in 2014 and the Missouri State President of FBLA in 2015.
Through her college years, she has served on the National Presidency Panel for PBL, as well as competing on the National PBL level the past two years. Aubrey is the first known person in Missouri history to serve this organization as their state president, both in FBLA and PBL.
Aubrey passed the gavel in Springfield, but told the college students, advisers and administration that it’s never “goodbye” for her, but “until she sees them again” in this organization.
Aubrey was also awarded the “Who’s Who” award for the State of Missouri in PBL, and will be recognized this summer in San Antonio, TX, at the National Leadership Conference in June.
Aubrey is a senior at Northwest Missouri State University, double majoring in political science and criminology. She is a 2015 GHS graduate, and the daughter of Bill and Vera Nelson, granddaughter of Sarah Dowell, Jack Dowell, and the late Judy Nelson, all of Gallatin.
