Weather permitting, the Mustangs have three more games on their schedule prior to the district tournament. The Mustangs are scheduled to play at North Harrison today (Wednesday). Their final home game is scheduled for next Monday against Trenton. A trip to Grundy County (Galt) closes out the regular season next Tuesday.

Tri-County/Gallatin will participate in the Class 2, District 16 Tournament on May 11 at Mid-Buchanan High School. Other teams in District 16 are Bishop LeBlond, Maysville, Mercer/Princeton, Mid-Buchanan, St. Joseph Christian and Tarkio.

The Mustangs fell to Mercer/Princeton a week ago by a 17-5 margin. The Cardinals totaled 8 runs in the top of the fifth inning and held the Mustangs scoreless to halt the contest by the 10-run rule.

Johnny Cosper had two hits and a walk for the Mustangs. Nate Baker and Colton Rounder each doubled and reached first on either a walk or by hit batter. Gage Wright hit safely and drove in 2 runs. Drayton Harris had a hit and run scored. Kacen Jones also reached base with a hit. Brinley Vandiver walked, reached on a fielder’s choice, stole a base and scored a run. JJ Waters walked and scored for the Mustangs.
