Azelynn Wilson, 10, and her sister Amity, 8, performed at the Hannibal Area String Orchestra on April 26 at the Roland Fine Arts Center at Hannibal-LaGrange College.
Both girls played violin and were accompanied by pianist Bonnie (Bandelier) Campbell, a Gallatin High School graduate. Three of Bonnie’s children were also in the concert. Bonnie frequently assists the Hannibal orchestra at their musical performances. This production was called “A Very Short History of Music.”
Azelynn and Amity have been taking lessons for about four years. They are the children of Jacob and Cindy Wilson of Louisiana, MO, and grandchildren of Sharon and Junior Burke of Gallatin and Tim and Wendy Wilson of Jameson. Cindy graduated from Gallatin and Jacob is a Gilman City graduate.
The girls are in the beginners orchestra and played four musical numbers with the whole group, which included the intermediate and advanced group, and then joined them for the finale.
