The family of Arnold Lee Ward will hold farewell services at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, at the First Baptist Church in Albany. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations for expenses to Roberson-Polley Chapel, 403 N. Hundley, Albany, MO 64402.

Arnold Lee “Gabby” Ward, 78, Albany, died on April 29 at Pine View Manor in Stanberry.
Gabby was born May 9, 1940, near McFall, to Alva (Alvy) and Delia (Hicks) Ward. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Nadine, Mae, Ruby, Sara, Arty, Frances; and brothers, Buck and Jim.
Gabby married Suzanne Hamilton on June 26, 1967. She died on April 29, 2017.
Gabby and Suzanne were foster parents for several years, opening their home to many children. During this time, they adopted Trish.
He was a member of Gentryville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Trish; brothers Alfred, Newton, IA, and Willie, Des Moines, IA two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one great-grandchild on the way.
