1 pint of brown sugar

1 pint of brisket meat, finely chopped

1 tsp of Wright’s liquid smoke

Stir all ingredients together and cook until done (these are the only instructions so you’ll have to experiment)!

I hope everyone had a joyous Easter celebration. Wasn’t the weather just great? I can remember some Easter Sundays when it has snowed! On Easter Monday, we went to get the boys’ passports (they’re going on a mission trip to the Dominican Republic). It was a fiasco and involved much more driving than was anticipated …and much more family “bonding.” All’s well that ends well, especially when we capped the trip by going to LC’s BBQ to celebrate. This is my favorite BBQ in KC, located on a back road to Truman Sports Complex. LC Richardson owns the restaurant and has a table/desk in the corner. He’s a wonderful man and amazing BBQ master. Don’t wait until Memorial Day to make his baked beans.
