According to the probable cause statement, King’s vehicle was reported to be sitting in the middle of the ramp to I-35 at the 61 mile marker in Daviess County on April 19. King was unresponsive in the driver’s seat. After attempting to communicate with her, officers then broke the passenger side window. She was holding a metal marijuana pipe in her hand, and a strong marijuana odor emanated from the vehicle. EMS arrived and rendered aid, and she was transported to the Cameron Regional Medical Center.
A search of the vehicle revealed a baggie with a crystal like substance consistent with methamphetamine. King has at least one felony conviction for a drug related violation in Adair County in 2017. Her driver’s license expired in 2013.
