The Gallatin Garden and Craft Club met April 16 at the Seventh-day Adventist Church Service Center. Jean Caldwell, vice president, conducted the business meeting.
Louise Taylor will host the May meeting.
Sarah Dowell gave the program on providing healthy habitat for monarch butterflies. Packages of milkweed seeds were given to each member to be planted and grow flowers for the butterflies.
The best days by the almanac to plant above ground is May 8-9.
Veda Heldenbrand showed the club her king-size beautiful barn quilt. The barns were set on white squares from barn pictures taken across the United States. The barns were all done in red embroidery and were set together with board-looking red material. It was outstanding. Refreshments were served.
