Pattonsburg Academic Team members Carter Crone and Ryelin Hulet qualified for All-Conference status at the end of the 2019 season.

Carter, a junior, was named Second Team All-Conference, while Ryelin, a freshman, was selected for the honorable mention team.

Members of the all-conference teams are chosen based on their scoring in the first four weeks, which constitutes the regular season, with each team (All-Conference, Second Team, and Honorable Mention) limited to five players. Carter scored 160 points in the regular season, while Ryelin scored 140 points.

JH Scholar Bowl Team Ends Season

The Pattonsburg Junior High Scholar Bowl team competed in only two games this year due to a season marked by bad weather and cancelled meets. The team played two games with Albany on Feb. 25. The scores for the two matches were: Pattonsburg 100; Albany 250; and Pattonsburg 130, Albany 290. High scorers for the Panthers were Gage Iddings with 60 points and Samuel Coin with 40 points.

Other members of the team were Kierra de Jong, Kelsey Crabtree, and Cadi Chamberlin. The team was sponsored by Gregg Hartley and Alyssa Lambert.

Varsity Scholar Bowl Finishes Tough Season

Pattonsburg’s Varsity Scholar Bowl ended their season on April 6 in district play at North Harrison. Although the Pattonsburg team had a large roster, the questions were tough and the competition in the conference even tougher.

Top scorers through the entire season, including the conference tournament, were Ryelin Hulet with 210 points, Carter Crone with 120 points, Jillian Plymell with 60 points, and Shaila Cramer with 20 points.

Also scoring for the Panthers in JV games were Shelby Snider with 40 points, Quincy Crone with 30 points, and Blake Hulett with 20 points. Other members of the team were Madison Hulett, Grace Warner, Jaden Gannan, Autumn Fredricks, and Brynn Teel. The team was coached by Gregg Hartley.
