FFA speakers advancing to districts: Jacob Wilson, Allie Baker, Kylie Stagner; and Graydee Rains, who was the district alternate for job interview.

The FFA spring contest season is drawing to a close and Gallatin chapter members are having success. FFA speakers excelled at area and qualified for districts in Ag I, II, and Advanced Speaking. Kylie Stanger, Alli Baker, and Jacob Wilson received gold ratings and advanced to districts on March 26. The FFA Knowledge team, Silas Giles, Olivia Woody, Libby Wilson, and Cloey Waterbury competed on March 26 and will now advance on to state contest with their 5th place finish.

At practice CDE events the Gallatin FFA Chapter also enjoyed success. At the Lathrop Alumni Contest the floriculture team placed 1st overall and brought home a plaque. Addison Burns was third overall at the Lathrop contest.  At the NCMC contest Addison Burns placed first overall. At the NCMC contest, the dairy foods team placed 4th overall.

In the fall of 2018, Jenna Rains placed first in the Missouri Institute of Cooperatives fall speaking contest. The MIC recently held their annual conference in Columbia, Missouri on March 27.  During the speaking contest portion of the conference Jenna Rains competed and placed 2nd in the state contest. She then attended the MIC luncheon where she presented her speech to the 200 members present.
