The City of Jamesport decided to begin setting up a website through the city’s utility software company during their meeting held March 11.
Visitor Janean Bankson discussed with the council her plans to purchase a property in town. Ms. Bankson informed the group that her plans were to demolish a building and possibly add new structures.
The city clerk advised the council of two properties that the owners were wanting to donate to the city to avoid fines and expenses of cleaning. The council took no action and will revisit this issue at the next board meeting.
Allan Souders and Lisa Hedrick discussed the deterioration of Washington Street. They asked that the city make the necessary improvements before the situation gets worse. The council advised that they would look into the issue right away.
