Graveside services for Kenny Lukehart are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2019, at Greenwood Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Daviess County Country Club (Business Highway 6, Gallatin), immediately following the graveside service. Arrangements are entrusted to Stith Funeral Home in Gallatin. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Active Aging Resource Center or the Lighthouse Learning Center.

Kenny “Lukie” Lukehart, 86, Gallatin, died March 18, 2019, at the VA Hospital in Kansas City.
Kenny was born on April 18, 1932, the son of Garland and Lorene Lukehart in Gallatin.
On Feb. 12, 1953, he was united in marriage to Shirley Snider in Gallatin. Kenny served our country in the Army during the Korean Conflict from Oct. 2, 1952, until his honorable discharge on Oct. 1, 1954. He attended Gallatin schools.
Kenny retired from the City of Gallatin Police Department. He also drove a school bus for the Gallatin School District and drove a semi truck as well. Kenny was a member of the Gallatin VFW Post and the First Baptist Church in Gallatin.
Mr. Lukehart was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven Charles Lukehart; daughter, Penny Rea Lukehart; sister, Ilene “Sue” Manchester; sister, Betty Taylor; brother, Lawrence “Red” Lukehart; brother, George Lukehart; brother, Delbert “Pie” Lukehart; brother, Buddy Lukehart; and brother, Thurman Lukehart.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of the home; son, Jerry Lukehart of Gallatin; daughter, Theresa (Scott) Schill of Warrensburg; daughter, Kim (Terry) Cornett of Gallatin; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
