Melanie Myers, 18, Gallatin, received minor injuries in an accident that happened at about 1:30 a.m. on March 13 in Daviess County.
According to the highway patrol, Melanie was northbound on Highway 69 driving a 2007 Ford Focus. About one mile west of Winston, her vehicle travelled off the east side of the roadway and struck an embankment, causing the vehicle to go airborne. The vehicle crossed 122nd Street and impacted the ground, overturning several times, and came to rest on its top, facing west.
Melanie was transported by private vehicle to Wright Memorial. She was wearing her seat belt. The Ford was totaled. The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lunch.
