Dear Editor:
I would like to know what our village board is doing for us. Sometimes they help people they know and friends. Other ones, they don’t help at all. They think more of themselves than helping others. Only one board member thinks of other people. I am sorry, but they should treat everyone with respect and understanding. Other people have feelings, too.
I tried to talk to the village clerk about the dogs on 4th Street and she didn’t want to talk to me. She said she didn’t have time. I thought that was part of her job. The people in the village have problems, too. If she is working for the village she needs to help people.
The board was going to pick up all dogs running the streets, but haven’t done it. The dogs on 4th Street are a nuisance to everyone. They come up to 3rd Street, eat all of the outside catfood, and take off with the food bowls. People have to go find them. I would like to know what to do about it.
The board hasn’t cleaned up the town. All they want to do is take people to court for something that isn’t right. They should do something inside of the village. I would like to know what some of the other people think about this. I think it is wrong and it should be stopped.
We need new board members to take over in April. If people think the same way I do, they should do something about it. Get out and vote this year. Get your Altamont voter’s registration card and help the community of Altamont.
