Gene Walker and Dana Carder advised the 911 Board about their recent meeting with the Daviess County Commissioners in regards to their decision not to “subsidize” Daviess County Central revenue in 2019. The 911 board argued that the money received in past years from Daviess County was not a subsidy, but was instead a reimbursement for services rendered. Walker and Carder will meet with the commissioners again in six months to provide them a report of MULES and services-rendered costs.
The treasurer’s report was accepted by the board with bills of $7,465.51; revenue of $33,062; and a checkbook balance of $147,850.84.
A five-year CD deposit of $60,000 was approved.
Supervisor Carder advised that the generator and battery back-up were still not completely fixed, even though she has been advised all the parts are in. A board member agreed to speak to the repairman.
During board member comments, Joyce Eads extended appreciation to all employees for their hard work, long shifts, extra hours, and dedication during the numerous severe weather events that took place over the course of the winter.
The above are the unapproved minutes of the Daviess County Central 911 Board meeting held on Feb. 28. Present were Gene Walker, John Sullenger, Todd Watson, Daniel Wilson, Joyce Eads and Ronetta Burton. Absent was Kate Chrisman. Also present was Supervisor Dana Carder.
