An accident on I-35 has resulted in the death of a Grant City man.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at about 7:45 a.m. March 7 on southbound I-35 in Daviess County.
About one mile south of Pattonsburg, Charles Florea, 85, Grant City, lost control of his 2001 Dodge Dakota on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway, down an embankment, and overturned, coming to rest facing west.
Mr. Florea was pronounced on scene by Daviess County Coroner Jason Smith. The vehicle was totaled. The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lynch, assisted by Trp. J.J. Thompson.
