The Tri-County R-7 School Board accepted a bid from Midwest Transit for the purchase of an International 71 passenger school bus during their meeting held Feb. 8. The board selected Home Exchange Bank for the lease purchase financing at a rate of 3.75% for two years.
The board entered into executive session where they updated the substitute teacher roster and offered Wade Hall a principal’s contract for 2019-2021 at a salary of $55,000. They also offered a part-time principal’s contract to Pamela Cox for the 2019-2021 school year at a salary of $30,800.
The superintendent’s and principals’ reports were given and the board adopted the 2019-2020 school calendar. The board also approved the investment of a $150,000 CD for eight months at 2.52% annual percentage rate with Home Exchange Bank of Jamesport.
In new business the board moved to seek bids for the financial audit for the 2019-2020 year.
The school calendar was changed to reflect make up snow days. Conferences were moved back a week as well.
The board renewed membership in the OSBA Health Insurance consortium. They also discussed the budget and reviewed the daycare program but took no action on either.
