After returning from executive session, the North Daviess Board of Education approved extending the principal contract to Kelly Hightree for the 2019-20 school year.

The senior class trip itinerary to Le Clair, IA, was approved.

Bus routes will remain on hard surfaces only when roads are in poor condition.

Principal Kelly Hightree reported overall attendance was at 94.51% with the total student enrollment at 62.

FBLA students going to state are: Christian Malott, seventh in Agri Business; Daniel Sprague, second in Organizational Leadership and fifth in agribusiness; and Robyn Sprague, first in Healthcare Administration.

FFA Week was Feb. 17-23, and FFA attended the Farm Show. FFA contests begin in March.

In elementary news, Kendra McMahon made it to the third round of the recent spelling bee. Christmastimes and DEAR Day were held and DARE has begun. The elementary fundraiser has started. The basketball tournament will be March 4-8. Junior High Academic meets are starting. MAP/EOC testing has been moved back due to all the missed school days.

Adoption of the 2019-2020 Calendar was postponed until the March meeting.

The next board meeting was set for 6 p.m. on March 18.
