The North Central Missouri College Business and Technology Department recently hosted the SkillsUSA district competition at the Trenton, Missouri campus.
Seven area vocational schools competed including Northland Career Center, Northwest Technical School, Grand River Technical School, Hillyard Technical Center, North Central Career Center, Excelsior Springs Area Career Center, and Carrolton Area Career Center. NCMC hosted hundreds of students who competed on career simulations and competitions. Students ranking in their competitions will advance to the state competition in April.
SkillsUSA is an applied method of instruction for preparing America’s high performance workers in public career and technical programs. It provides quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship and character development.
