Tarkio picked up its 22nd win of the season on Tuesday, defeating Gallatin, 56-40, and ending the Bulldog season at 10-12. The Bulldogs led all the way up to the 6:49 mark of the third quarter but the Wolves fired up their offense to finish the game on a 30-15 surge.

Dylan Burns, Aidan Adkison and Tristen Gibson provided the firepower for the Bulldogs in the early going. Adkison buried a pair of treys that helped stake his team to a double digit lead. Tarkio rattled off 9 of the next 12 points to get back into contention. Burns, Adkison, Gibson, Landon Corwin and JJ Waters combined to keep Gallatin in the lead at the break, 21-18.

A 3-pointer by Gibson midway through the third quarter produced Gallatin’s final lead and represented the only Bulldog scoring until Johnny Stout’s bucket with 3:11 left in the game.

Adkison led the Bulldogs with 13 points. Gibson finished with 10 in the season finale.
