Two people from Cameron were injured in an accident in Daviess County at about 7:05 p.m. on Feb. 11.
According to the highway patrol, Selina Harris, 20, Cameron, was driving a 2001 Ford F150 southbound on Highway 69. Approximately three miles south of Winston, she traveled off the west side of the road and struck a ditch. Upon impact, an occupant, Kara Simmons, 21, Cameron, grabbed the door handle, causing the door to open. She was ejected. The pickup came to rest in the ditch, facing south.
Both women were transported by Daviess County EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Ms. Harris received minor injuries and Ms. Simmons received moderate injuries.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. P.M. Kimball.
