Two people from Gallatin were injured in an accident that happened at about 11:40 a.m. on Feb. 6.
According to the highway patrol, Kayla Mowre, 31, Gallatin, was driving a 2004 GMC Yukon west on Highway 6. Her vehicle began to slide on the ice-covered roadway, crossed the center of the roadway, and ran off the south side of the road. The vehicle traveled down the embankment and rolled over one complete turn, and then came to rest on its wheels facing northeast against a tree.
Ms. Mowre received serious injuries and was transported by Community Ambulance District to Cameron Regional Medical Center. A passenger in the vehicle, Christopher Mowre, 39, received moderate injuries and was also taken to Cameron Regional. Both were wearing their seat belts.
The GMC Yukon was totaled.
