Six Pattonsburg R-2 students, in four events, are headed to the state Junior High Science Olympiad in Fulton on April 27. The team itself placed as regional alternate, missing state for the third year in a row by one point. Mrs. Hulet says she is very pleased with the team overall. High School Science Olympiad is coming up on Feb. 16. First place event qualifying teams are: Dynamic Planet – Quincy Crone and Kierra de Jong, Heredity – Sam Coin and Ryelin Hulet, Solar System – Gage Iddings and Kierra de Jong, and Write it/Do it – Quincy Crone and Jillian Plymell.
