This is the year the City of Pattonsburg water department trades in for a new truck. Water Superintendent Adam Albert has contacted Larry Crone with Pettijohn’s auto in Bethany; he will be working on this. Mr. Albert requested a fuel barrel for gasoline and/or a fuel tank with two tanks to put in the truck so he can fill the sewer/water generators and lawn mowers. Council told him to bring prices to the next meeting.
In other business at the Jan. 14 meeting of the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen, resignations were accepted from Jeff Dixon with maintenance, and Diane Eakins, Industrial Development Association board member. Both will be moving out of state. Dixon’s last day will be Jan. 24, and Eakins’ last day will be Feb. 1.
The dump truck with the snow plow attached has broken down again. Mr. Albert suggested buying a new blade for the pickup to do snow removal and the board approved the purchase of a blade.
Lucille Lusk with Small Town Cooperation Board (STCB) presented a zoning land matrix review.
Office hours were changed to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. instead of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The next meeting is Feb. 11.
The above are the unapproved minutes of the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen held Jan. 14. Those in attendance were Mayor Edmon Howard; board members Lonnie Luke, Kelly Hughes, Dustin Sperry, Sandra Woodring; Water Superintendent Adam Albert; City Clerk Karen Shepherd; and guest Lucille Lusk, STCB.
