Due to recently discovered circumstances, a motion carried to relieve Duane Swalley of his services, according to the minutes of the Jamesport Board of Aldermen for a meeting held Jan. 21. A motion carried to hire Trent Brewer as a city employee. The decisions were made during a closed session of the board.
In other business, an ordinance limiting parking on South Grant was approved after first and second readings.
An audit report submitted by the city’s auditor for July 1, 2017 to June 20, 2018 was approved.
The Jamesport City Council met in regular session on Jan. 21 at the Jamesport City Hall. Members in attendance were: Geoff Eads, Gary Alexander, Rob Murphy and Freda Garner. Employee Ray Bontrager was a visitor.
