Memorial services for Merlin L. Bowman will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at Poland-Thompson Funeral Home, Cameron. A Masonic service with visitation will follow from 11:30-12:30 p.m.

Merlin Lewis Bowman, 80, died Jan. 29, 2019. He was born April 18, 1938, in Winston to Dewey and Mable (Willets) Bowman.
He was a 1956 graduate of Gallatin High School. He was the warehouse manager for Central Manufacturing, retiring in 2005. He was very active in the Masonic Lodge.
On May 27, 1960, Merlin married Mary Ruth Latimer in Winston.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Donald Bowman, Lloyd Bowman and Junior Bowman; and three sisters, Dolly Jones, Kathryn Johnson and Wilma Bowman.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary of the home; two sons, Terry (Teresa) Bowman, Lee’s Summit, Ted (Karen) Bowman, Lawson; brother, Jim (Mary) Bowman, St. Joseph; two grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
