Allee Prescott, like all little girls, likes to play dress up. Only Allee’s dolls weigh about half a ton and stand about 15 hands high.

Allee loves horses. She loves to ride horses, train horses, and take care of them.

Allee competed in the Missouri State Fair Horse Show the past three years and brought home several awards. One of her very favorite classes to compete in there is the costume class. She usually dresses up herself and her horse, and she has a group of friends who dress up with her to compete in the class.

Sometimes they dress up as Santa and the elves and her horse — and even her mule — don’t mind pretending to be Santa’s helpers … at least for a day!

Allee, 10, is the daughter of Josh and Mandy Prescott. She is in fifth grade at Tri-County in Jamesport.

Allee has been riding since she was big enough to sit up, her mother says, but she has been showing in competitions since she was five.

Fuzzy, her first pony, is currently loaned out to a friend. Then she trained Popcorn, then Mini, who she still shows occasionally.

Currently, she shows two horses: Miss N Selena and BayBee by Texas. These two bay quarter horses are half sisters. Miss N Selena is Allee’s speed and ranch horse. BayBee by Texas is her pleasure and reining horse. They were raised and trained by Joe Heim from Thackerville, OK. Allee goes and visits Joe once or twice a year and gets tips and lessons.

Allee has held the title of Miss Missouri Mule Princess, Miss Missouri Rodeo Sweetheart 2013 and 2014. She has won high point mule and rider overall at the Missouri State Fair, high point mule and rider at the Lathrop Mule Show in 2015 and 2016. She won high point overall pleasure in 2013 at the MSSCA Circuit. She won Reserve Champion Youth 2016 and 2017 at the King City Summer Barrel Series. She has won several first place classes at Green Hills Horse Show Circuit.

She has won high point pleasure overall ages 12 and under for the past four years and this year she also won high point speed ages 12 and under. She won the Neal Corbin overall speed horse trophy (all ages) this year with Miss N Selena as well as the Caleb McCracken overall pleasure horse trophy (all ages) with BayBee by Texas. She won high point overall ages 10-13 at the North Missouri Saddle Club Series this year with Miss N Selena. She won Reserve Champion Youth Overall with Miss N Selena at CKT Barrel Racing Series for 2018 with Miss N Selena. She qualified for the Bonus Race World Finals three times this year in Lincoln, NE, for 2019.

Allee recently won Daviess County Overall Pleasure Champion for 2018 at the Jamesport Junior Livestock Show as well as Daviess County Speed Champion and Daviess County Champion Overall.

Allee rides every day that she possibly can as long as the weather cooperates. It’s not uncommon to find her out in the pasture riding bareback with just a halter after school if she doesn’t have time to fit in a full ride. She often helps move cows or just trail rides quite a bit with her Papa, Randy Eads.

Her mother rides with her occasionally, when she has time. Her dad doesn’t like to ride.

Allee raised her very own foal, Arrow Has My Heart, for the first time this spring and is currently training him.

“If she can’t ride, she is working with them in some way every single day, no matter the weather,” her mother says.

She also shows mules and a donkey. The mules she has shown are Joker, whom she currently has loaned out, and Sissy, that she has shown the past few years. Her donkey is Gypsy Mae. She has done all of the training on Gypsy Mae herself. She is currently teaching her to pull a cart.

Allee also has her own herd of Pygmy goats and some chickens. Not surprisingly, she wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up.

Allee does all of the care-taking on her own of all of these animals. She grooms them and cleans their stalls. Her father and mother only help if she is gone or needs an extra hand, which is rare.

Will Allee ever outgrow her love for horses?

“I think horses will always be a part of her life,” her mother says.
