A Gallatin woman received minor injuries in an accident that happened about one mile east of Altamont at about 12:05 p.m. on Nov. 25.
Joel Newks, 31, Milan, was traveling eastbound on Highway 6. A vehicle driven by Terry Jarboe, 61, Gallatin, was traveling west on Highway 6.
The Newks vehicle, a 2008 Hummer, lost control on the snow covered roadway and struck the Jarboe vehicle, a 2008 Pontiac, head on.
Both vehicles traveled off the north side of the roadway and came to rest on the wheels in a field.
Ms. Jarboe, 59, Gallatin, was transported by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. She was wearing her seat belt.
Both vehicles received moderate damage.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.P. Lynch, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office and KAW Fire.
