Graveside service and burial for Opal Lundy will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Foster Cemetery, New Hampton. There is no scheduled visitation. Services are under the direction of the Roberson-Polley Chapel, Albany.

Opal Jean Lundy, 97, of New Hampton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Daviess County Nursing and Rehab in Gallatin.
Opal Jean the daughter of Giles and Opal (Lemke) Hawley was born May 31, 1921, in Kellogg, IA.
On Sept. 13, 1938, she was united in marriage to Steven D. Lundy. He preceded her in death Oct. 26, 2010.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Jimmy David Lundy; and son-in-law, Wayne Zimmerman.
Opal Jean was a member of the New Hampton United Methodist Church and Bethany Chapter #23 the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include daughter, Betty Zimmerman, Gallatin; brother, Fred Hawley, Englewood, CO; grandchildren, Steven Zimmerman, Melinda Yarnell and Shelley Estes; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Ashlynn Yarnell, Andrew and Alexis Estes.
