The Missouri State High School Activities Association recently released re-classification and re-districting information for high school basketball. Local basketball followers can argue that the district just got a lot tougher.

Gallatin remains in Class 2, District 16, with four new schools in the mix. Out this season are Plattsburg, Polo, Princeton and Stanberry. New members of District 16 are St. Joseph LeBlond, East Buchanan, Hamilton and St. Joseph Christian.
Maysville, Mid-Buchanan and Tarkio also return as members of D16.
Mid-Buchanan’s girls finished second in the state last season in Class 2. The Dragon boys were state quarterfinalists.
