Earnest W. Clemens 83 of Gallatin passed away November 1, 2018 at his home. Graveside Service will be held at 11am Monday, November 5th at Hillcrest Cemetery near Gallatin. Friends may call between 12 noon to 5pm Sunday at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Memorial contributions may be made to Hillcrest Cemetery in care of McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin
Earnest Wayne Clemens was born June 3, 1935 the son of Claude and Mary Agnes (Parks) Clemens in Stet, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Carolyn Hogan December 30th 1955. The couple raised their four children Martin, Debbie, Lana and Brinda. Earnie spent most of his life working on the farm. He was no stranger to hard work and for many years milked 100 cows twice a day as well planting row crops. He was a workaholic and did whatever it took to provide for his family. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Earnie was a loving dad and grandpa who will greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Earnest was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn, 3 brothers, Estell, Norman and Edward and 3 sisters. Ethel, Willa Lee and Faye.
Survivors include his son, Martin Clemens of
Gallatin, daughters, Debbie (Marvin) Godsey of Clarksdale, Lana (Bob) Hutsell of Louisiana, MO, Brinda (David) Smith of Stewartsville, sister, Loreen Caldwell of Clarksdale, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
