Pattonsburg’s top-seeded Panthers will host the #4 ranked North Shelby Raiders Friday night for a home District 3 semifinal game to determine who will meet the winner of the Southwest (#2) vs. King City (#3) contest, also being played on Friday.
Pattonsburg, 8-1, which also includes players from Gilman City and North Harrison, has had a couple of weeks to prepare for Friday night after taking down Albany, 68-20, in the district opener. North Shelby, 6-3, defeated #5 Stewartsville, 74-0, last week, to earn a semifinal berth.
North Shelby has suffered losses this season to Norborne (with Hardin), Stanberry and Milford/Cissna Park out of Milford, Illinois. Pattonsburg’s only loss came on the road at Stanberry.
The winner of District 3 will likely see either Stanberry or Worth County in the state quarterfinal round on Saturday, Nov. 17, 1 p.m.
