The Northwest District meeting of Missouri Retired Teachers Association was held in Trenton last week with Linda Swopes, Gene Walker, Mary Jarboe, Tom Daniels, Nancy Salmon, Nylen Lewis and Nancy Tate attending from Daviess County.
MRTA was organized in 1960 and is an association of certified and noncertified education retirees numbering 27,000 members
The number one priority of the organization is promoting and preserving its education pension program and benefits. All retirees are encouraged to join the organization and help keep retirement income safe and secure.
MRTA members also promote school and community involvement and volunteer many hours of service. Linda Swopes was the winner of four Royals tickets.
