Funeral services for Katie Kurtz were held Oct. 27 at the Eli Kauffman residence, Jamesport. Burial was in Meadow View Cemetery, Jamesport, under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Jamesport.

Katie (Yoder) Kurtz, 90, Jamesport, died Oct. 25, 2018, at her home near Jamesport.
She was born April 25, 1928, at her home in Plain City, OH, the daughter of Abe and Anna Yoder.
On March 20, 1951, she married Jonas A. Kurtz. He passed away Jan. 21, 2009. They lived in matrimony for 58 years.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Martha; five grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; four brothers, Ben, Abe, Henry and Levi; and two sisters, Lydiann and Louella.
Survivors include six sons and four daughters, Johnny (Emma), Jamesport, Alvin (Marilyn), Albia IA, Rosanna (William) Detweiler, Jamesport, Sara (Jonas) Hostetler, Jamesport, Marie (Toby) Gingerich, Jamesport, Perry (Mary), Mt. Vernon, Levi (Martha), Jamesport, Susan (Eli) Kauffman, Jamesport, David (Amy), Jamesport, Andy (Ada Mae), Mt. Vernon; one brother, Johnny; one sister, Lizzie; 73 grandchildren; and 267 great-grandchildren.
