Walter Calhoun, 24, Decatur, GA, received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident that happened at about 8:15 p.m. in Daviess County.
According to the highway patrol’s report, Mr. Calhoun was driving a 2017 Ford Focus southbound on I-35 and exited at the 61 mile marker, about two miles west of Winston.
The vehicle crossed over both lanes of Hwy. 69, traveled off the west side of the roadway and down an embankment, overturned, and landed on its top, facing east.
Mr. Calhoun was transported by Daviess County EMS to Cameron Regional Medical Center
Mr. Calhoun was wearing his seat belt.
The car had extensive damage.
The accident was investigated by Trp. J.P. Lynch, assisted by the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
