Beatrice Adair Foster Burch, 97, of Cameron, passed away Oct. 24, 2018.

Beatrice “Bea” was born Oct. 22, 1921, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Randolph Scheel and Lena Riemath. She was raised by her aunt, Mrs. Anna Adair, and spent her formative years in Firesteel and Timber Lake, South Dakota. She graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1941.
She married Vinton E. Foster in 1943, and lived near Whitehorse, South Dakota, engaging in ranching and mail carrying on the Cheyenne River Indian Reservation until Vinton’s death in 1964.
She married Thomas Burch and lived on a farm near Kidder, Missouri, from the mid 1970’s until his death in 1987. She spent her subsequent years living in the Cameron area.
She is survived by: her sons, Vernon Foster, Steven Foster and Rodney Foster; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Known for her patience, kindness and generosity, she will be greatly missed by her family, as well as those lucky enough to have been a part of her life.
As per her wishes, there will be no formal services. Burial will be at a later date in Cameron Memory Gardens.
All who wish to honor her memory are urged to hang a hummingbird feeder or donate to a no-kill animal shelter.
